LORE

The Realm of Aidalon has had a long era of peace, with threats held at bay by the four Guardians of the Realm, immensely powerful mages who have dedicated their lives to protecting their assigned sector of Aidalon.

To the west, Aidalon boasts the Kingdom of Kaladaar, an elven kingdom surrounded by lush, iridescent forests. Aidalon’s elves have stood high and proud for centuries, their records dating back to The Beginning. The Kaladaar royal family of High Elves has held the throne peacefully, their popularity never wavering with the elven populace. Queen Aenia Kaladaar has ruled for the last 300 years, having taken the throne once she reached adulthood around the age of 100.

To the east, lies the human kingdom of Erenor, led by High-King Ren Allister. The Humans of Aidalon are a proud race, widely known for their fearless military. Erenor is flanked by vast oceans, and as such, the kingdom boasts several maritime towns and cities, along with breathtaking beaches.

To the north lies the Dwarven kingdom of Thulheim, a glorious set of cities surrounded by the most mountainous and frigid regions in all of Aidalon. Aidalonian Dwarves are a force to be reckoned with, with the most gifted warriors the realm has to offer. They’re led by King Kyrodin Ironfoot.

The south is as mountainous as the northern regions, and Tempestad, the tallest mountain in all of Aidalon, looms over the continent. Mainly populated by secluded Dragonborn clans, and Aarakocra, or Birdfolk, little is known about the southern region.

The centermost region of Aidalon is known as The Forgotten Lands. In it are ruins of an ancient fallen kingdom, and it was once the battlefield for years of war between the races of Aidalon. This region has no Guardian, and therefore, it is lawless and filled with evil creatures. In the ruins of the Forgotten Lands, you can find predominantly Goblin clans, Hobgoblins, and Lizardfolk, along with a myriad of other dangerous beasts. Brave adventurers travel to these lands in search of glory, loot, or inevitable death.

Though elves, humans and dwarves established their respective kingdoms, the races of Aidalon have lived together peacefully for centuries. You can find diversity in most any city, regardless of Kingdom.

Together, these races have held dark forces at bay, but Aidalon’s long-standing peace will soon be disrupted…
